Gokongwei firm gets high rating

Dumlao Philippine Daily Inquirer 12:42 am | Monday, January 9th, 2012 Local credit watcher Philippine Ratings Services Corp. has maintained a triple-A rating on Gokongwei-led property developer Robinsons Land Corp.’s (RLC) debt paper. Obligations rated “PRS Aaa” are deemed of the highest quality with minimal credit risk and suggested that the borrower’s capacity to meet its financial commitment on the obligations was extremely strong. Such rating was maintained on RLC’s P10-billion outstanding bonds maturing in 2014. Robinsons to open 4 new hotels in first half of 2012

Dumlao Philippine Daily Inquirer 1:40 pm | Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 MANILA, Philippines—Robinsons Land Corp. is set to scale up its tourism-oriented business this semester with the opening in February of a new 108-room hotel in Puerto Princesa, the second in what is envisioned to be an extensive chain of budget hotels in the country.  G ohotels will also open in Dumaguete, Tacloban and Bacolod in the first half of this year, bringing the number of budget hotels in its portfolio to five and total hotel rooms to 639.  Citing the success of Gohotels’ first property, the 223-room hotel at the Cybergate Plaza in Mandaluyong City, RLC announced on Wednesday the completion of the branch in Palawan’s capital city, carrying over the same pricing concept and the same hotel and room features. Corporate News Posted on January 16, 2012 10:49:20 PM Robinsons Land profit at P4B PROPERTY DEVELOPER Robinsons Land Corp. reported a double-digit boost to its net income for the 2011 fiscal year versus the previous year on the back of growth in all its business segments, documents filed with the Philippine Stock Exchange showed yesterday. The Gokongwei-led firm hiked its net profits by 10% to P3.97 billion in the fiscal year ending September last year versus P3.60 billion for 2010, buoyed mainly by robust revenues from the company’s residential and commercial developments. This result mirrored the Robinsons Land’s 10% net profit growth in fiscal year 2010 over P3.27 billion in fiscal year 2009. Total gross revenues for the period rose by 18% to P13.34 billion from P11.30 billion year-on-year, while total costs and expenses grew by 21% to P8.49 billion from P7.03 billion.
